As for the 1 year in the game argument people in that stage of progression do not need ninja and probably won't use him anywhere simply cause ninja is a Lego designed to help early game progression for the people their collab with ninja is gonna bring in the game. Counter attack on the other hand is not easy to get it's either 1 epic or 2 legos, that's what makes him a bad showcase for F2P. Deacon for example can be replaced with seeker for 2:1 teams, for ally protect there is a big number of champions you can use same for shield champions.
There is no other epic that can do what he does and this is what makes him special and also hard to get cause of the big amount of epics in the game. What I want to say is not that Skullcrusher is a special epic that F2P can't get but simply that he has no alternatives, either you pull him or not. Wanna showcase him in a free to play friendly team, then do a speed team with him or an ally protection with versuf or whatever the last fusion was called.
Not gonna be a dick but there is no F2P friendly counter attack team, getting a counter attack champion is as hard if not harder than getting unkillable, there are literally only 3 champions with team wide counter attack and only Skullcrusher is an epic.
